Etterstad Vgs Will Start Maritime Subjects As A Teaching Offer From Autumn 2025. In This Connection, The School Needs A Simulator That Can Be Used For Training And Practical Training For Sailors And Ship Mechanics. The Simulator Will Be A Key Tool In Teaching, As It Provides The Opportunity To Practice Situations And Tasks That Sailors And Ship Mechanics Face In Their Professional Lives. This Will Help To Provide Students With The Necessary Competence And Skills To Meet The Requirements Of A Demanding And Important Industry. In Addition To The Simulator, 8 Desk Bridges (Simulator Spaces) Shall Also Be Supplied In Accordance With Dnv Class C Or Similar, According To Stcw Requirements For Certification Of Maritime Simulators (Dnv-St-033, August 2023) And 1 Instructor/Teacher User. The Simulator Is An Important Part Of The Process For The School To Achieve The Necessary Approvals Required To Be Certified In Accordance With The Stcw Convention And Dnv-St0029. The Stcw Convention Is An International Agreement On Competence Requirements For Seafarers. Dnv-0029 Is Det Norske Veritas Requirements For The Same Training. There Will Also Be A Need For An Ongoing Support And Service Agreement.
