The City Is Seeking Proposals From Experienced Proponents For A Solution With The Capabilities To Supply, Implement, And Support A Safety Data Management System.The Sdms Rfp Project Aims To Replace The Existing Safety Data Management System With A Modern, Cloud-Based, Commercial Off-The-Shelf Solution To Support The Occupational Health And Safety Needs Of The City Of Calgary. The Current Sdms Is An On-Prem Legacy System That Has Been In Use Since 2015. It Is A Strictly On-Premises Solution Hosted In Our Data Center. Based On Information Management’S Recommendation, The Occupational Health And Safety Business Unit Has Expressed Interest In Transitioning To A Cloud Solution, As It May Remove Excess Costs, Reduce Staff Time Spent Maintaining The System, Enhance The End User Experience, Utilize More Effective Software Tools For Growing Safety Compliance Needs, Lessen The Potential For System Vulnerabilities Exposures, And Assist With The Business Units Goal Of Modernizing Their Systems.
