Advance Contracting Notice for Development of Moopun Waterfall Site, Sahksaw Riverfront Site, Rynjhi Falls Site and Umbyrlein Falls and Related Works of East Jaintia Circuit. Lot 1: Development of Moopun Waterfall site and related works at Moopun, Mutong village Lot 2: Development of Sahksaw Riverfront site and related works at Cham Cham village Lot 3: Rynjhi falls site development and related works at Cham Cham Village Lot 4: Umbyrlein falls and sunset point site development and related works at Rangad Village All procurement activities, including advance contracting and retroactive financing will be undertaken in conformity with ADB Procurement Policy (2017, as amended from time to time) and Procurement Regulations for ADB Borrowers (2017, as amended from time to time). Approval of advance contracting and retroactive financing do not commit ADB to subsequently approve the project or to finance the procurement costs The project aims to enhance economic development and livelihood opportunities for the people of Meghalaya by integrating nature-based tourism with climate-smart agricultural practices. It will adopt a cluster-based approach, focusing on key tourism destinations with significant natural and cultural attributes. Within these clusters, the project will support sustainable management of forests and agricultural lands to improve ecotourism. By linking climate-smart agriculture with tourism, the project will diversify economic opportunities for local beneficiaries beyond immediate tourism services. This integrated approach ensures that the benefits of tourism and agriculture are maximized through coordinated efforts, leading to more sustainable and impactful outcomes.
