Tenders are invited for Supervision over Construction of Water Treatment and Biogas Power Generation from Acelhuate River Water Project. The project consists of the construction of a wastewater treatment plant that will purify approximately 70% of the wastewater from the San Salvador Metropolitan Area (AMSS). Additionally, it will generate renewable electrical energy through a small hydroelectric power plant (PCH, known as Pequeña Central Hidroeléctrica in spanish), operated by the effluent flow of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP known as EDAR in Spanish), a photovoltaic system (PV), and two thermoelectric units that will run on the Biogas generated in the water treatment process.
