Location: Kigali Deadline: Tuesday, 04/03/2025 15:00 About Kilimo Trust: Kilimo Trust (KT) is an independent Regional agricultural development organization - working on agriculture for development across the EAC Region. It is registered in the Republic of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda, and it implements projects across all EAC Partner States. The core business of KT is to support the transformation of food and nutrition security in the EAC Region away from high-risk subsistence farming into lower-risk trade-based systems. The Assignment: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Individual / Firm to provide Company Secretary & Legal services to Kilimo Trust Rwanda. The successful Individual / Firm will play a crucial role in ensuring legal compliance and effective governance. About the Assignment/Scope of work: The Individual / Firm will be required to: Providing expert advice on company secretary matters. Ensure policies, and regulatory, or statutory changes that might affect the organization are up to date and approved by the Board of Directors. When required convene a Board of Directors meeting, take minutes, draft resolutions, and lodge required forms and annual returns with appropriate departments. Managing and maintaining statutory records, register, and any other relevant records. Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations. Support on legal and governance issues. Assisting in the drafting and filing of legal documents. Stay informed about changes in laws affecting the Kilimo Trust Rwanda as a registered entity. Qualifications. The Individual / Firm should have the following qualifications: Degree in Law from a recognized institution. Proven experience as a legal professional, preferably with experience in the NGO sector. Strong knowledge of NGO-related laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must have a practice certificate.
