Request for Proposal for On-Call Hazardous Waste Management The City Intends To Award A Three-Year (3) Contract For A Not To Exceed Amount Of $350,000 With No Guaranteed Minimum To The Bidder Selected As The Most Responsive And Responsible And Whose Response Conforms To The Rfp And Meets The City’S Requirements. Services Required Of The Contractor Include, But Are Not Limited To, The Following: 1. Routine Service Of City Generated Waste: Contractor Shall Provide On-Going (Routine) Packing, Removal And Disposal Of Waste Materials From City Sites. Contractor Shall Load Within Twenty (20) Working Days Of Request By The City Any Or All Of The Wastes Stored At A City Facility. Contractor Shall Immediately Transport Them To Appropriate Waste Management Facilities For Reuse, Recycling, Treatment, Or Disposal Until The Waste Is No Longer Classifiable As Hazardous Or Until The Waste Reaches Final Disposition. 2. Waste Sorting And Handling: A. On-Site Waste Segregation Will Be Performed Within The Categories Required By Department Of Transportation (Dot) Standard Operating Procedures Including The Sorting, Consolidation And Packaging Of Wastes Into Categories Required By Dot Regulations. B. The Contractor Shall Prepare Any Waste Profiles Necessary For Disposal With City Final Review And Approval And Allow The Use Of Generic Profiles For Lab Packs. C. Contractor Shall Be Responsible For Ensuring Regulatory Compliance For All Materials Provided Under The Contract. This Responsibility Will Include, But Not Be Limited To, Dot Requirements For Containers And Osha Requirements For Personal Protective Equipment. D. All Transfer, Storage, Reuse, Recycling, Treatment, And Disposal Facilities Proposed To Be Used By The Contractor Shall Have A Compliance History That Includes No Major Incidence Of Illegal Dumping Or Disposal, Or Major Violation Of Hazardous Waste Control Laws And Regulations. In This Context, Major Violation Shall Be Interpreted As A Violation That Resulted In Monetary Penalties Of $25,000 Or More And/Or Criminal Charges Against Officers Of The Company.
