Project Main Activities Implemented By Rmf In The North And Akkar: The Strengthening Rural Development In Lebanon Project Is Aiming To Create A New, More Equitable And Resilient Production System In The Apple Value Chain Both At The Individual Level (Small-Scale Agricultural Producers) And Collectively (Through Cooperatives). This Will Be Achieved By Improving The Productivity And Implementing Good Agricultural Practices Through Capacity Building And The Adoption Of Techniques That Allow Obtaining Products Of Higher Quality And Competitiveness In The Local Market. This Will Include Training And Technical Support To Maximize Agricultural Yield And Reduce Negative Impacts On The Environment, As Well As Improving Farm Management. It Will Contribute To The Renovation Of Apple Trees And Guaranteeing Their Access To Innovative Equipment To Increase The Productivity, Profitability And Competitiveness Of Apple Producers. Objective Of The Consultancy Rmf Is Seeking To Recruit An Agriculture Engineer To Lead The Technical Support In The Implementation Of Good Agricultural Practices Amongst Apple Producers. He/She Will Be Following Up On The Day-To-Day Field Activities Related To The Different Beneficiaries, Contributing Towards The Creation Of The Capacity Building Programs, Monitoring Agricultural Practices At The Designated Areas Of Intervention, And Ensuring Transparent Processes And Strong Relationships With The Different Actors And Stakeholders. Scope Of Work The Agriculture Engineer Will Work Under The Direct Supervision Of The Project Manager. He/She Is Expected To: Support The Pm To Implement, And Monitor Activities To Meet Project Deliverables Based In Line With The Project Work Plan. Support In The Development And Implementation Of The Monitor Procedures & Templates. Participate In The Briefing And Outreach Sessions. Actively Engage In The Identification And Assessment Of Beneficiaries, In Line With The Assignments Given By The Pm. Monitor And Control The Different Agricultural Activities From Capacity Building To Technical Consultancy With The Different Beneficiaries And Their Corresponding Stakeholders. Conduct Regular Field Visits To The Projects Location To Ensure Proper Flow Of Work And Smooth Implementation. Assists And Accompany The Different Experts During Their Visits And Ensure Data Collection Procedures. Troubleshoot Any Problems Encountered At The Field Level Or With Other Staff Members And Report Directly To The Pm. Participate In Team Planning And Coordination Meetings And Trainings. Assist In Filing And Record Keeping, And Contribute To Monthly Reports And Other Ad Hoc Reports To Meet Donor And Internal Requirements. Ensure Collection And Submission Of M&E Related Material Along With Identification And Reporting On Success Stories. Provide Verbal And Written Reports On The Activities To The Pm As And When Needed. Competencies, Skills And Experience A BachelorS Degree In Agriculture. At Least 3 Years Of Experience Preferably In Funded Projects Activities. Prior Similar Experience And Responsibilities Is A Plus. Familiarity With The Agricultural Sector Especially The Apple Value Chain. Knowledge About Crop Diseases And Identification Is A Plus. Knowledge In Gap Procedures Is A Plus. Proven Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team. Strong Communication And Reporting Skills. Experience To Write Clear And Concise Reports On Project Activities (Required) As Well As Research And Data Collection (Desired).
