Expression of Interest are invited for Procurement of Interior Refurbishment Works of AA, AE, AF, AG, AH Towers. The site covers 40 Ha of land and hosts a large Test Centre, high-tech laboratories and office areas for circa 2,700 people working daily on site.This procurement is for the interior renovation of the Aa Ae Af Ag and Ah office towers at ESA ESTEC, which have never undergone a major renovation since they were built in 1989. This undertaking aims to complement and finalise the office tower refurbishment efforts that already commenced in 2022 with the renovation of the Ac and Ad towers, now completed.The scope of this undertaking covers the interior renovation of 5,400 m2of floor space into a modern, innovative, comfortable environment, achieving high levels of thermal, acoustic and visual comfort for users and efficient use of energy and utilities, while respecting the architectural integrity of Van Eycks original design, in accordance with current legislation and architectural standards.The refurbishment works of these office towers Aa Ae Af Ag and Ah are intended to take place in one phase, after completion of their corresponding detailed design and engineering definition (already awarded to an architect company following a separate procurement action), starting in June 2025 and until March 2027. ESA plans to procure, via a single contract, the execution of the refurbishment works.ESA intends to procure with a two-stage tendering. The first stage will constitute an open call for interest. The second stage, limited to 3-5 bidders selected during the first stage, will consist of a restricted competition through a competitive dialogue.
