Tenders are invited for Retention Support Facilitators (RSFS) to Support the Implementation of the Ocha-Funded CBPF-LHF Project across Multiple Educational Institutions in North Lebanon and Akkar Retention Support Facilitators (North & Akkar) Closing Date: Monday, 24. Feb 2025 Intervention Sector(s): Education The Alawite Islamic Charity Association (AICA) is seeking 15 qualified Retention Support Facilitators (RSFs) to support the implementation of the OCHA-funded CBPF-LHF project across multiple educational institutions in North Lebanon and Akkar. The RSFs will play a key role in reducing student dropout rates, engaging at-risk students, supporting learning continuity, and providing psychosocial support. This position requires strong student engagement skills, experience in education, and knowledge of retention strategies. The RSFs will work directly with students, educators, and parents while ensuring that all activities align with OCHAs Education Cluster priorities, Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEHE) guidelines, and humanitarian education principles. Key Responsibilities: Identify at-risk students and develop individualized retention plans. Conduct one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions to support learning. Assist in the implementation of after-school activities and remedial sessions. Engage with parents and caregivers to address external factors affecting student retention. Work closely with AICAs project team, school staff, and local authorities to optimize student learning environments. Monitor student attendance, progress, and engagement metrics. Ensure that retention strategies align with OCHAs project objectives, MEHEs SOPs, and education sector guidelines. Uphold AICAs safeguarding, child protection, and gender equity policies. Eligibility Criteria: Education: Bachelors degree in Education, Social Sciences, Psychology, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 3 years in education, student counseling, or community engagement, preferably working with middle school students. Technical Skills: Strong counseling, facilitation, and student engagement skills. Compliance: Familiarity with OCHA-funded education programs, MEHE policies, and AICAs safeguarding principles. Languages: Fluency in Arabic and French is required; English is an asset. Ethical Standards: Must adhere to AICAs Safeguarding, GBV Prevention, and Anti-Corruption Policies. Compensation & Contract Details: Hourly Rate: $8.5 per hour (subject to 8.5% Non-Residential Tax deduction as per Lebanese labor law). Work Schedule: Option 1: 1.5 hours/day, 3 sessions/week, totaling 18 hours/month. Option 2: 3 hours/day, 3 sessions/week, totaling 36 hours/month.
