Tenders Are Invited For Construction Work – Construction Of Zaghloul El Bahary Wastewater Treatment Plant (Wwtp), Design – Build, Defect Liability Year, And Optional One (1) Year Of Operation And Maintenance

Construction Work – Construction Of Zaghloul El Bahary Wastewater Treatment Plant (Wwtp), Design – Build, Defect Liability Year, And Optional One (1) Year Of Operation And Maintenance. The Work To Be Carried Out Under This Works Contract Comprises The Permanent Works (Facilities And Systems) Related To The New Zaghoul El Bahary Wwtp (15,000 M3/D, 2037 Expanded To 25,000 M3/D, 2052) In Motobas District, Kafr El Sheikh Governorate, To Be Designed, Constructed, And Commissioned; The Effective Restoration Of Any Defects During The 1-Year Defects Liability Period; And The Optional 1-Year Of Normal Operation And Maintenance Of The Works For The Wwtp. The Contract Comprises Also The Provision Of Training Services To The Procuring Entity’S Personnel Duly Completed Within The Defects Liability Period Or The Optional 1 Year Operation And Maintenance Period As The Case May Be, And Before The Works Hand-Over. Some Minor Works Of The Plant Has Been Executed By Another Contractor In A Previous Phase. Although Not Part Of The Works, The Contractor Shall Be Aware Of Its Obligations Toward These Existing Works As Defined In The Contract Documents. The Plant Will Receive Wastewater From 4 Pumping Stations Whose Force Mains Diameters Are Dn500, 350, 400 And 560, Respectively. Force Mains From The Hayat Karema Sewerage Contracts Implemented By Nopwasd Will Be Additionally Connected. The Inlet Chamber Shall Be Sized To Accommodate The Force Mains From Contract Phases 1 & 2 In Addition To Future Connections. The Treated Effluent Will Be Disposed To An Outfall Discharging To Zaghloul Main Drain. The Treatment Process Is Extended Aeration Activated Sludge And Shall Target Carbon, Nitrogen, Suspended Solids Removal And Stabilization Of Sludge. Effluent Quality Shall Be In Line With The Most Stringent Discharge Standards Of The Egyptian And The Eu Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive. The Eib And Ebrd Environmental And Social Standards And Performance Requirements Shall Be Observed In Contract Execution. Design And Construction Of The Plant Shall Meet The Scope And Technical Specifications Of The Contract Documents
