Quotation are invited for Datacentre Infrastructure Maintenance at Head Office Proactive Support Tasks Monitor firewall functionality Analyze system logs Periodic Firmware upgrades Monitor backup software Physically checking hardware computers like cable connections, cooling fans, hard drives, RAMs, processors. Cleaning hardware components Baseline security assessment of services Verify all hardware drivers are installed and up to date Scheduling preventative maintenance to carry out the above tasks at least 4 times a year. Storage use analysis for future planning and Run Disk Clean-up, Defragment, if necessary, to optimize system performance. System restore point created after all maintenance is performed Monitor fall over drills to run from the disaster recovery Check UPS (Battery Backup). Verify they still hold a charge and are functioning properly. Check operating system updates status Check and optimize Network configuration and installation Maintain security patches and updates Install and optimize any application configurations (for applications included in the schedule) Use certified tools and applications for diagnosis and health analysis of system Corrective Support Tasks Assistance with restoration of Critical Services (Hardware setups and MIS apps setup provided app support is paid) in case of catastrophic data loss. System restore point created after all maintenance is performed Review server error logs and address any issues that might cause a problem Manufacturer certified tools and applications for diagnosis and health analysis of system. Answer the technical questions the MERA may have. Advise MERA on issues to do with system functionality, interoperability, best practices etc. Advise MERA on cost effective options Review hardware life cycle Notify the client our supervisor of unsafe practice IT Governance, IT strategy advisory roles Avenues For Reporting MERA will log a support request by emailing our helpdesk or engineers or by phone Mandatory Locations MERA has 3 offices which are in Blantyre, Mandatory Tender Link : https://www.ppda.mw/tenders
