The Seaport In Emden Operated By Lower Saxony Is The Third Largest North Sea Port And Westernmost Seaport In Germany. It Is Located On The North Bank Of The Ems About 38 Nautical Miles Southeast Of The River Mouth On The North Sea. In Principle, Ships Can Reach The Port At Any Time Up To A Draft Of 8.50 M; Depending On The Tide, The Maximum Access Start Is Approx. 10.70 M. The Sea Port Of Emden Consists Of 2 Parts: - The Tidal Outer Port With Wybelsumer Polder, Larrelter Polder And The Harbor Development Area Rysumer Necken - As Well As The Tidally Free Internal Port, Consisting Of Inland Port And New Inland Port.
