Rockhampton Regional Council (Council) Is Seeking To Engage A Suitably Qualified Consultant To Undertake A Project To Update The Fitzroy River Model Using New Lidar And Then Undertake A Flood Risk Management Study To Understand And Manage Current And Future Flood Risk In The Fitzroy River Catchments. The Study Shall Review Existing Flood Studies, Stormwater Management Schemes, Emergency Management Protocols, And Land Use Planning Measures To Determine An Up-To-Date Flood Risk Profile For The Catchments And Use These Findings To Develop A Prioritised Suite Of Flood Risk Management Measures (Including Structural, Non-Structural, And Natural Solutions) To Address Current, Future, And Residual Flood Risks. The Successful Consultant Will Have Extensive Experience Delivering Similar Studies And Projects, Cultural Awareness, And Knowledge Of Systems And Procedures To Lead The Implementation Of Best Practices In Work Methods And Processes To Comply With Quality Assurance Standards. The Consultant Is Expected To Collaborate With Council To Deliver The Required Outcomes Within 12 Months.
