As Part Of Its Service Delivery Role, Council Carries A Range Of Risks Across Its Significant Assets And Operations. Council Has Developed And Implemented A Risk Management Framework (Framework) That Is Aligned To The Risk Management Standard Iso 31000:2018. Under The Framework Council Identifies And Mitigates Its Risks, And Where Appropriate, Purchases Insurance As A Form Of Risk Transfer Against A Range Of Unforeseen Losses. Council’S Use Of Insurance Is Considered In The Context Of The Nature Of The Risk; The Availability Of Alternative Risk Management And Risk Mitigation Strategies; The Financial Consequences Of Choosing Not To Insure; And The Level Of Loss That Council Can Bear.
