Business Development Consultancy Services – 81314156-Building Msmes Skills And Strengthening Financial Service Providers Capacity Through Training And Msme-Focused Financial Products. Giz Has Been Commissioned In Namibia To Implement The Project Promotion Of Business Advisory And Economic Transformation Services Phase Ii (Probats Ii) On Behalf Of The German Federal Ministry For Economic Cooperation And Development (Bmz). The Main Objective Of The Previous Phase Of Probats I Was To Ensure A Stable Growth Of The Namibian Economy Through The Provision Of Advisory And Economic Transformational Services For Local Businesses. With The Projects Continued Efforts, The Current Phase Aims To Ensure That The Entrepreneurial Activities In Namibia Have Improved, And The Local Msmes Are Empowered, As It Has Been Identified By The Project That The Core Problem Is The Lack Of Important Prerequisites For Msme Inclusivity To Participate In The Economic Recovery Of Namibia. Against This Background, A Contractor Is Required To Provide Technical Assistance In The Strengthening Of The Competencies Of Msme Employees And Financial Service Providers. The Contractor Will Lead The Implementation Of The Following Work Packages: 1. Strengthening The Entrepreneurial And Financial Skills Of Msmes A. Development Of Integrated Training Measures For 250 Msme Employees 2. Strengthening Competencies Of Financial Service Providers (Fsp) A. Provision Of Training Measures And Technical Assistance For Fsps (2.1) B. Conduction Of Information Sessions For Fsps (2.2) C. Adaptation Of Two Existing Financial Products (2.3) A Team Of Experts Shall Be Provided By The Contractor To Deliver The Above-Mentioned Services, And It Should Be Well Balanced With Respect To Gender And Age. This Team Shall Consist Of (1) A Team Leader With Both Expertise In The European Union Member States And Southern Africa, Who Will Overall Be Responsible For The Advisory Packages, (2) An Msme Expert Who Will Be Responsible For Msme Capacity Building, (3) An Expert With Experience In Finance Service Market Access, (4) A Support Staff Pool With A Minimum Of 2 Experts With National Experience In The Sme Capacity Building Sector And/Or The Financial Systems Development And Capacity Development Sector. Close Coordination With The Giz Project Team And Collaboration With Project Partners In Namibia Will Be Required. The Contractor May Be A Single Firm Or A Consortium Of Various Consulting Firms. The Involvement Of Consulting Firms From Namibia Within Subcontracting Or Joint Venture Arrangements Will Be Permitted. The Estimated Duration Of The Contract Is 8 Months From The Contract Award (Anticipated In End Of April-Early May 2025).
