Work Detail
Amsterdam Is One Of The Most Famous Cities In The World And Has An Impressive Public Transport Network That Provides 800,000 Travelers With Opportunities To Travel Through The Capital Every Day. The Ferries On The Ij Are One Of Them. On Average, 72,000 Passengers Travel With The Ijveren Per Day (2019). This Number Is Expected To Increase By 40% Between 2019 And 2030. The Housing Construction Challenge Is Significant, Especially Around The (Northern) Ij Banks. The Ferries Will Play A Crucial Role In The Coming Decade In Connecting Amsterdam To The South And Amsterdam To The North Of The Ij. There Are Currently Seven Ferry Connections Across The Ij, Which Are Operated By Gvb Veren On Behalf Of The Municipality Of Amsterdam (These Are The So-Called Ijveren). The Current Ijveren Fleet Consists Of 2 Series, Of Which The 50 Series Is Fully Diesel Powered And The 60 Series Has A Hybrid Drive (With Diesel Generator). In The Context Of Reliability, Sufficient Capacity, Safety And Sustainability, The Municipality Of Amsterdam Wishes To Only Operate The Ferries Without Emissions By 2030. This Not Only Requires New And Converted Ships (60 Series And Possibly The 50 Series To Fully Electric), But Also A Complete Charging Infrastructure That Must Also Take Maintenance Into Account. In Anticipation Of This Tender, Gvb Is Investigating How This Demand Can Be Marketed And Asks You To Think About It. The Program For The Electrification Of Ferries Consists Of The Design, Installation, Turn-Key Delivery And Maintenance Of The Following Broad Components: : 1. Charging Stations And Charging Interface: A. Components Of The Installations B. Installation Of Components And Connections C. Construction Work (The Housing/Shell) 2. Connection Of Charging Stations To The Liander Electricity Grid A. Permits B. Physical (Cables And Infrastructure) 3. Charging Connections 4. Connecting Charging Stations To Charging Connections (Cables And Infrastructure) 5. If Necessary: Adjustment Of Landings 6. Purchase Of New Electric Springs 7. Electrification Of The Current Springs, The 60 Series (And Possibly Also The 50 Series) 8. System Integration, Including (Not Exhaustive) A. Coordination With The Shipyard B. Coordination With Liander Connection To The Main Grid C. Coordination With Other Licensing Authorities D. Fat Test Complete System E. Delivery And Acceptance Process 9. Maintenance Based On Kpis Focused On Availability, Reliability And Costs During The Technical Lifespan (30 Years?) 10. End Of Life And Circularity Of Parts And Raw Materials, Etc. The Purchase Of New Ijveren And Conversion Of The Existing Fleet ( Parts 6 And 7) Are In Principle Not Part Of This Market Consultation. In Principle, These Parts Will Be Tendered Separately. Market Parties Have Been Invited To Contribute Their Thoughts On This (See Attached Invitation And Questionnaire). See Description.
