Tenders are invited for Implement a Quantitative Study in Urban Development in Rajkot, India. The Asia Resilient Cities (ARC) is a Cooperative Agreement funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). ARC works to address cross-cutting urban development challenges in secondary cities in Asia by promoting sustainable urban growth; supporting resilient, low-carbon urban infrastructure; and integrating climate change and environmentally-conscious approaches. ARC is implemented by JSI Research & Training Institute Inc. (JSI), with partners John Snow India Private Limited (JSIPL), BRAC, DevTech Systems, Inc., ICF Incorporated, L.L.C. (ICF), the International Organization for Migration and The Asia Foundation. In reviewing ARCs data and approach for equity in each city, ARC has determined that we should have a representative, city-wide survey for at least our three secondary cities (Rajkot, India; Khulna, Bangladesh; and Makassar, Indonesia) to document what drives inequity and marginalization, and compare ARCs ability to mobilize change in our intensive wards or districts. ARC invites independent organizations who are currently implementing urban development programs in Rajkot, India to submit Applications to implement a quantitative study for the ARC project in Rajkot, India. The organization selected will implement this study over a period of 7 months with support from JSIPL, ARCs implementing partner in Rajkot, and the global ARC team.
