Tenders are invited for Consultant to Deliver Market Assessment in Tripoli & Akkar Closing Date: Monday, 20. Jan 2025 Intervention Sector(s): Education Remuneration range: 3000 to 4000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 1 month The Rene Moawad Foundation is requesting the services of of a Consultant to Deliver Market Assessment in Tripoli and Akkar for its project entitled "Alternatives to Combat Exploitive Child Labour through Empowerment and Sustainable Services Lebanon (ACCESS Lebanon)". Plan International Lebanon (PIL) and the Regional Development and Protection Program for Jordan and Lebanon (RDPP III) under the Embassy of Denmark in Beirut have developed a project titled (ACCESS Lebanon) Alternatives to Combat Exploitive Child Labour through Empowerment and Sustainable Services Lebanon. Objective of the Consultancy The main objective of this consultancy is to deliver Market Assessment in Tripoli and Akkar that will assist in guiding and counselling adolescents aged 14-17 (within the legal age of working) when deciding the vocation or type of training that they will subsequently pursue. Scope of Work The consultant will be responsible for conducting a market assessment that will be the basis for the livelihood component of the project to identify technical and transferable skills in demand by labour market and potential employers The consultant will be responsible of identifying key economic entry points that might influence workforce development and employability activities The consultant should suggest vocational training courses and competency-based trainings to provide job seekers with skills being sought after by local employers. The consultant will be responsible of identifying the vital sectors with the most promising economic returns aiming to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge that are in high demand in job markets with specific focus on practical job-relevant skills that are developed with industry stakeholders to ensure that trainings are in line with the market and industrys needs. Consultants Qualifications The consultant wishing to be considered for the services described herein should have the following qualifications: Expert in Marketing: Academic Qualifications: A Bachelor Degree/ Master Degree/ in Marketing, Economics or any relevant field Years of experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in Marketing Consultancy Technical experience: Experience in conducting market research Knowledge of best practices and techniques related, to marketing and markets vital sectors Competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Fluent in Writing and spoken English and Arabic. Good Knowledge in preparing timely reports on the progress of the work.
