This Request For Information Is For The Purposes Of Gathering Information From The Marine Electrical, Steel Fabrication, And Ship Building Industry To Ascertain The Interest And Capability To Design-Build Marine Electrical And Marine Structural Infrastructure (The “Services”) For The Island Class Terminal Electrification Program (The “Program”). The Program Will Introduce Four (4) Rapid-Charging Facilities On Two Inter-Island Routes (Route 19-Nanaimo Harbour-Gabriola Island & Route 23-Campbell River – Quathiaski Cove), Allowing The New Plug-In Hybrid Diesel-Electric Island Class Vessels, Currently Under Construction, To Operate In Full Electric Mode.
