Bids Are Invited For Lab Testing For Dioxin Drinking Water

The State Of Georgia, Department Of Natural Resources Environmental Protection (Division) Is Soliciting Requests For Quotes (Erfq) That Will Establish An Open Agency Contract With One Qualified Contractor Who Will Provide Lab Testing For The Presence Of Dioxin In Drinking Water Samples To The Department Of Natural Resources. The Contractor Will Chemically Analyze Drinking Water Samples Taken From Selected Public Water Systems (Pwss) Located Throughout The State Of Georgia To Determine The Dioxin Concentration. Pwss¿ Participation In The Dioxin Drinking Water Sampling Project Is A Requirement Of The Division¿S Chemical Waiver Program. Samples Collected For This Project Will Be Analyzed To Compare Dioxin Concentrations In Drinking Water With Epa¿S Maximum Contaminant Level (Mcl). An Estimate Of Up To Eighty-Five (85) Drinking Water Samples Per Year May Be Examined In This Study If Needed. All Analyses Must Be Performed On The Site Of The Contracted Laboratory.
