Work Detail
Tenders are invited for Evaluation of the Coverage of Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC) for the 2024 Campaign. In Guinea, SMC was introduced in 2015 in 6 health districts, then expanded to 8 districts in 2016, 10 in 2017, and 13 in 2018 and 2019. Since 2020, SMC has been implemented in 17 health districts, providing coverage to children during four monthly cycles from July to October, corresponding to the high malaria transmission season. In order to improve the effectiveness of the CPS in Guinea, several strategies have been underway since 2021. In the pilot health district of Dabola, a fifth cycle was added in June to strengthen the level of protection of target children. Since 2023, the digitalization of individual data has been gradually introduced into the CPS campaign in certain health districts (Dalaba, Koundara, Koubia, and five sub-prefectures of Kouroussa) with the aim of improving data management and CPS coverage of children [Disclaimer: The above text is machine translated.
