Ice-Breaking Services – Contingency Agreement Regarding Ice-Breaking In The Limfjord West Of Aalborg (Jernbanebroen). Pursuant To Legislative Decree No. 969 Of 25/07/2017 On Preparedness For Icebreaking, It Has Been Decided That The Task Of Icebreaking In Four Demarcated Danish Waters Will Be Solved In A Private-Public Collaboration Between The Defense And The Maritime Industry By Means Of Contingency Agreements. The Four Contingency Areas Are: • The Waters South Of Funen (Not The Subject Of This Tender) • The Limfjord West Of Aalborg (The Railway Bridge) • The Limfjord From Aalborg (The Railway Bridge) To Hals Barre (Not The Subject Of This Tender) • The Waters Of Småland (Not The Subject Of This Tender) ) The Contingency Agreements Imply That Private Operators Who Enter Into A Contingency Contract With The State Undertake To Provide A Contingency For Icebreaking, Who Must Be Able To Depart For The Emergency Area Within 24 Hours Notice And Be There Within A Further 12 Hours. The Contingency Contracts Are Entered Into By The Ministry Of Defences Material And Procurement Agency (Hereafter Fmi).
