Transport Services (Excl. Waste Transport) – Transport Services For The Deceased. The Social, Health And Rescue Department Of The City Of Helsinki Requests Offers For The Transport Service For The Deceased In Accordance With This Call For Tenders And Its Appendices. The Object Of The Procurement Is The Provision Of Transport Services For The Deceased Who Are Responsible For The Hospital, Rehabilitation And Care Services Of The Social, Health And Rescue Sector Of The City Of Helsinki. Transport Services For The Deceased Are Provided Around The Clock On All Days Of The Week In The Helsinki City Area. The Deceased Are Transported From Different Locations, Such As Private Homes, Nursing Homes And Hospitals, To Storage Facilities For The Deceased Within Helsinki. Transports Are Carried Out, For Example, To Confirm Death To Hospital Mortuaries, For Medical Autopsy To The Department Of Pathology, And As Transfers Of The Deceased Within Hospitals Or Nursing Homes. If Necessary, Transports Are Also Carried Out Between Cold Storage Facilities, For Example Due To Congestion. In Exceptional Cases, It May Be Necessary To Make Transports To Other Destinations In The Helsinki Area As Well. The Pick-Up Of The Deceased Must Take Place Within Three (3) Hours Of The Subscribers Contact.
