The Municipalitys Tender For The Provision Of A Companion Scheme For Users Who Are Screened For The Benefit In Accordance With The Social Service Act § 97 (Adults). The Tender Relates To The Procurement Of Companion Arrangements For All Of The Contracting Entitys Units And Institutions, Unless Otherwise Stated In The Contracts Clause. 4.1. The Companion Scheme According To Section 97 Of The Service Act Is A Scheme That Gives Physically And Mentally Disabled People Between The Ages Of 18 And 67 The Opportunity To Be Granted Up To 15 Hours Of Accompaniment Per Month For Activities Outside The Home. Accompaniment Is Granted Both To Users In Private Homes And In Institutions. With A Companion Scheme, The User Does Not Have To Depend On Family And Friends For E.G. Shopping, Doctors Visits, Treatments, Cultural Activities, Holidays, Etc. For The User, Who Is Often Used To Having To Ask For Help From The Immediate Surroundings, The Companion System Thus Provides Increased Freedom, With A Better Opportunity To Decide On Their Own Time. The Companion Scheme Does Not Include Practical Help At Home, Just As The Companion Cannot Function As A Visiting Friend Either.
