Sectoral Environmental Auditing Services – Vasa Audits (Landfill Audits). Based On Art. 32Nd Of The Law On Environmental Protection (Lpe, Rs 814.01), The Ordinance Relating To The Tax For The Remediation Of Contaminated Sites (Otas, Rs 814.681) Was Introduced In 2001. This Allows Ensure Funding For Investigation, Monitoring And Remediation Measures For Polluted Sites. The Tenderer Must Carry Out The Checks Delegated By The Foen Regarding The Collection Of The Tax In Accordance With The Ordinance On The Tax For The Remediation Of Contaminated Sites. As Far As Possible, These Audits Should Be Carried Out With As Few People As Possible In Order To Reduce The Risk Of Conflicts Of Interest. The Tenderer Carries Out The Otas Checks (Audits) In Accordance With The Foen Guidelines And Ensures An Independent And Neutral Assessment. If, During The Execution Of The Mandate, The Interests Of The Persons Hired Are Directly Affected, They Must Recuse Themselves And Be Immediately Replaced By The Bidder. The Services Covered By This Contract Include Approximately 20 Annual Otas Checks, Over A Period Of Four Years With The Option Of Extending The Mandate Twice For Two Years. The Final List Of Landfills To Be Controlled Is Established By The Foen At The Start Of Each Year And Sent To The Tenderer. The Contact Details Of The Installation Operators And The Competent Cantonal Representatives Are Communicated To The Tenderer And The Latter Are Informed That The Tenderer Is Responsible For The Otas Inspection And Authorized To Carry It Out.
