These Hot Cells Are Constructed Using A Monolithic In-Situ Concrete Construction. To Achieve Sufficient Shielding Against Ionizing Radiation, The 70 Cm Thick Walls And The 60 Cm Thick Ceiling Panels Of The Hot Cells Are Made Of Heavy Concrete. All Ceilings Are Designed As Biaxially Stretched Panels And Clamped Into The Walls To Ensure They Are Rigid. The Walls Are Hinged On The Existing Foundation Plate. In Addition, A Steel Platform Of Approx. 45M2 Is To Be Built In Order To Access Control Cabinets And Diagnostic Openings.
