The aim of the project is to ensure New Zealand has safe, fit-for-purpose, and sustainable infrastructure that safeguards its continuous presence in Antarctica, enables its world-leading scientific research programme, and strengthens engagement with the Antarctic Treaty System. The Board of Antarctica New Zealand has undertaken an independent review of the project and agreed its recommendation to reset the project by undertaking master-planning and focusing the redesign processes on specific key priorities. The Scott Base Redevelopment Project Steering Committee requires an exceptional leader to be the Project Director for this exciting next phase of the project.
