Its mission is to promote and protect the rights of the worlds most marginalized and at-risk people. To do this, HAI designs and delivers protection support systems and services that address the needs of populations that are transient, living in poverty and/or subjects of conflict or violence. HAIs programs work in close coordination with local organizations to engage communities in service delivery, capacity-strengthening support, and community mobilization to effect real improvements in the lives of those in need. Our goal is to organize and empower highly vulnerable populations locally, to be self-sustainable and self-advocating.
