LocationRamallah, Nablus The Teacher Creativity Center Association is a Palestinian non-governmental, non-profit organization, registered and primarily dedicated to enhancing the social outcomes of quality education in Palestine, the Middle East and North Africa, thereby transforming the goals, objectives and strategies of education - in these countries - to become more responsive to the needs of their development societies, including the social outcomes of quality education in line with the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG4) , Article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the outcomes of the Vienna Conference Programs for Action 1993. The social outcomes of education can be understood as those outcomes in which education plays the primary role in promoting them societally according to the aforementioned international conventions, including: citizenship and social responsibility, inclusiveness, equality, global citizenship, respect for human rights and international law, psychosocial well-being, a culture of dialogue and non-violence, respect for cultural diversity, mutual understanding, tolerance and friendship with all nations, ethnic and religious groups, and reducing unemployment. The Association works locally, regionally and internationally with all parties concerned with education in Palestine, the Middle East and North Africa to influence education planning processes, so that education planning in these countries becomes participatory, rights-based and results-oriented, and directed towards achieving quality education outcomes. This is done by empowering society in all its spectrums and sectors; to be able to participate in policy planning and monitoring processes to ensure their implementation. The Association also works with partners to transform Palestinian schools and universities with all their educational, administrative and student cadres into positive change agents in society in a way that enhances the aforementioned educational outcomes. In this context, the Association works to build the capacities of teachers, principals and students in several related fields, and to improve the school environment to become a safe environment that contributes to achieving the social outcomes of quality education. It also works to improve and develop educational infrastructure in order to achieve these outcomes . Since May 1, 2024, the Teacher Creativity Center Association, in partnership with World Vision (WVI) and with funding from the European Commission for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection (ECHO), has been implementing a 24-month project entitled Safe Access to Inclusive and Decent Education and Protection Services for Children in Crises . This project aims to address the learning gap, improve childrens access to education opportunities, psychosocial support services, and protection services, and improve the educational environment in facilities, with a focus on the most vulnerable students and communities in Areas B and C of the West Bank. The project activities will target students and teachers in 61 schools in Hebron, Nablus, Jenin, Tubas, Qalqilya, Qabatiya, Tulkarm, East Jerusalem, and Ramallah, in addition to parents/caregivers. In this context, the center would like to contract with a trainer specialized in the field of social emotional learning, to facilitate a training of trainers (ToT) course in the field of social emotional learning for a number of educational cadres from the targeted schools; so that they can transfer the knowledge and skills acquired in the field of social emotional learning to other educational cadres in the same schools . About the training : The training, which consists of two courses, each with 28 training hours over 5 days, aims to empower 33 teachers from the targeted schools in the theory of social emotional learning and its related skills, as well as in the skills of facilitating training for other groups of teachers ( TOT skills ). It also aims to empower 33 school principals in the areas of providing support to teachers while they apply these skills with learners, and monitoring and evaluating the application of social emotional learning skills with learners at the school level, which will enable teaching staff in these schools to use these skills in presenting educational concepts to learners. In response to these objectives, the training will focus on key axes, including what is known as social and emotional learning challenges that impact learners social and academic performance, social and emotional indicators in learners that enable teachers to diagnose these challenges, the theory of social emotional learning and its related skills (intrapersonal, interpersonal and cognitive) , the use of social emotional learning skills to overcome the social and emotional effects of social emotional learning challenges on learners, the use of sports and arts to provide learners with social emotional learning skills, in addition to the necessary training of trainers skills to enable these teachers to organize training courses for other groups of teachers in the above-mentioned areas . Training locations : Initially: Ramallah and Nablus Training date: Tentatively : December 2024 Task description Preparing training material that includes creative and unconventional training mechanisms, and it is modified based on the review of the associations specialists . Preparing a detailed training plan based on the training description above, so that the plan includes the main and sub-headings of the training, in addition to a time plan that includes distributing the training content over the five days of each training and the eight daily hours . Organizing two training courses, each lasting 5 consecutive days, with 28 training hours per course, including 24 training hours over 4 days for teachers, with the fifth day (4 hours) allocated to training managers on mechanisms for providing support to teachers while they apply these skills with learners, and monitoring and evaluating the application of social emotional learning skills with learners at the school level . Develop a pre- and post-assessment to measure the change in trainees knowledge and skills after exposure to the course . Conducting a pre- and post-assessment of the training beneficiaries, analyzing the results, and providing the association with all the information that was collected and analyzed . Developing a skills measurement tool that will be used during field visits to measure the skills acquired from the training . Conducting a number of field visits to the targeted schools while each of the trainee teachers targeted in the above-mentioned training transfers the knowledge acquired through this training to the rest of his colleagues in the school through school training, as well as during the implementation of social emotional learning initiatives by all teachers who were targeted through the central training as well as through school training . Writing a detailed report on the training after its completion, including the results of the analysis of the pre- and post-tests, another report on the field visits after their completion, analyzing the skills measurement tool, and presenting the results in the report . Time period for submitting technical and financial offers Technical and financial offers, in addition to the required attachments, must be submitted no later than 4:00 PM on 10/27/2024. Any offer received after this date will be rejected . Terms and Conditions for Submitting Quotations The Teacher Creativity Center Association invites trainers with qualifications and experience in the above-mentioned fields to submit their technical and financial offers according to the following terms of reference : In addition to the training plan mentioned above, the trainer shall attach an executive plan for training and field visits to the targeted schools . The technical offer submitted must include, in addition to the training plan and the implementation plan, proof of the qualifications and previous experience of the applicants in training in the fields mentioned above, including CVs . Priority will be given to applicants with university qualifications and experience in the mentioned fields . The financial offer must include the following details : - Prices are in shekels, excluding tax, noting that the project is tax exempt. Submit the quote signed and stamped on all pages of the quote . Interested applicants are required to submit two separate proposal documents: one technical and one financial along with trainers CVs or institutional history and a recent sample of similar training experiences . The technical proposal must include : Suggestions for training materials to be covered during the training . Detailed timetable . If the training requires tools, please mention them in the proposal .
