The Subject Of The Competition Is The Planning Of The New Building Of The Lecture Hall Center For The University Of Hamburg In The Science City Hamburg Bahrenfeld. The Lecture Hall Center Should And Will Shape The New Face Of The University Of Hamburg In The Science City Bahrenfeld. Just As It Will Be An Important Place For Academic Exchange And Collaboration, The Lecture Hall Center, As A Strikingly Designed Building, Will Also Be An Important Urban Hub In A Dynamically Emerging District. The Aim Of The Lecture Hall Center Is To Create A Place For Science And The Public Alike - A Living Link Between The Academic World And The Vibrant Everyday Life Of The Surrounding Neighborhoods. As The First Building In The Volkspark District And On The Campus, It Is Also A Guarantee Of Revitalization, An Open And Vibrant Place Of Knowledge And Encounter, A Space That Brings People From A Wide Variety Of Backgrounds Together. In Addition To The Excellent, Internationally Competitive Research Conditions In The Science City Hamburg Bahrenfeld, The Lecture Hall Center Is To Be Realized In The Quarters At The Volkspark On The East Campus, Opposite The Planned Learning Center, To Provide The Most Modern Teaching And Learning Conditions For The Approximately 5,000 Students At The University Of Hamburg From The Departments Of Physics, Chemistry, Data Science And Parts Of Biology To Create State-Of-The-Art Teaching And Learning Conditions That Can Fully Compete In National And International Competition. Located On Luruper Chaussee, The Lecture Hall Center Is Intended To Become A Central Attraction For Students And Teachers Who Would Like To Work In A Building With An Attractive Teaching And Learning Infrastructure In The Future. Together With The Learning Center, The Lecture Hall Center Makes An Important Contribution To Address Formation And To Connecting The Campus Sites Across Luruper Chaussee. Open, Visible And Mixed-Use Research And Teaching Spaces That Can Be Used By Both Science And The Public Bring Knowledge Culture To Life On Campus. The University Of Hamburg Has Developed A Comprehensive Spatial And Functional Program For This Project. The Central Building Blocks Of The Lecture Hall Center Are The Flexible Teaching Areas Of The Various Departments And The Cafeteria Area. The Teaching Space Distribution Planned In The Lecture Hall Center Takes Into Account 9 Lecture Halls And 19 Seminar Rooms With Flexible And Partially Reversible, Future-Proof Room Concepts. In Addition, Catering Should Be Made Available For Scientists, Students, Employees And Guests. The Cafeteria, Foyer And Learning Worlds Should Invite People To Linger, Stimulate Communication And Be A Central Point Of Contact In Everyday Campus Life. In Addition, The Lecture Hall Center Will Also Serve As An Event And Exhibition Location. Overall, The University Of Hamburg Is Aiming For A New Building That Is, Of Course, Sustainable
