Expression of Interest are invited for Assessment of Green/Turquoise H2, & Green Ammonia for Indian C&I customers Description: International Finance Corp (IFC), the private-sector arm of the World Bank intends to appoint a consultant (a firm) to carry out the deep dive study on Market dynamics of Green Hydrogen (GH2), Turquoise Hydrogen, and Green Ammonia (G-Ammonia) for the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) customer segment in India" (defined as the Project. This deep dive study aims to comprehensively assess the Green/Turquoise Hydrogen market for both C&I segments and will evaluate various aspects critical to successful market development of GH2.The objective of this assessment could be to analyze the current and projected demand for hydrogen in key C&I sectors in India, with a focus on identifying opportunities for the adoption of green and turquoise hydrogen. The assessment could include estimating the current demand for different types of hydrogen consumed by these industries, analyzing the energy sources (natural gas/coal) used for hydrogen production, understanding the purpose of hydrogen utilization (energy source/feedstock) in these industries, examining the pricing trends and dynamics (in domestic and international market), and identifying main clusters in India that would aggregate the demand. Additionally, the study should identify industries where green/turquoise hydrogen can be cost competitive today and target customers among large C&I clients and leading SME clusters.
