Tenders are invited for Consultant or Firm for End of Project Evaluation Supporting Local Authorities in Improving Access to Safe Drinking Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene in the Stung Sen Basin Region Supporting Local Authorities in Improving Access to Safe Drinking Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in Stung Sen Basin Regions RainWater Cambodia (RWC) was commissioned by HAMAP for Humanitaire, with funding support from the RHIN-MEUSE Water Agency and Toulouse Metropole in France, to implement the project Supporting Local Authorities in Improving Access to Safe Drinking Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene in the Stung Sen Basin Region under the Integrated Water Resource Management Stung Sen Basin (IWRM-Stung Sen) program, from November 2022 to December 2024. The project has significantly contributed to community health by increasing access to safe drinking water and promoting proper hygiene practices. Key achievements include the establishment of a partnership agreement with commune and district authorities, the formation of a water management committee, and the organization of a training workshop for key focal points on WASH behavior change communication. By collaborating closely with local authorities, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders, the project aims to implement solutions that address the unique needs and circumstances of the Stung Sen Basin region. Through this initiative, the project seeks not only to improve access to safe drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene, but also to empower communities, promote health and hygiene education, and foster sustainable development. Additionally, the project has completed the construction of a water supply system and extended the main pipeline by approximately 800 meters in Reaksa commune, allowing further connections to the pipe network. Currently, the water supply system in Tang Krasao provides safe water access to 130 households. The Water Management Committee (WMC) has conducted several training sessions on operating the water supply station. To improve sanitation, the project has also distributed subsidies for underground latrines to poor and vulnerable households.
