The contract commencement date is anticipated to be early/mid-December 2024 and construction period expected to be 60 Working Days. This NOI is provided as an early indication only of the project scope and will not form part of any future tender documents or contract documents. Ngarua Stream Bridge (BSN 109) is located at RP 0/10.87 along SH27 approximately 35km north of Tatuanui in the Waikato. Constructed in late 1930s the 21m long bridge consists of a two lane, 2-span superstructure with reinforced concrete T-beams with a cast in-situ deck. The proposed live load strengthening involves fabrication and installation of longitudinal shear brackets to the beam/deck interface, external post-tensioning and structural maintenance such as concrete repairs. The works will primarily be undertaken from scaffold installed beneath the bridge. Key points are - 1. The contact works are anticipated to cost in the order of $1M. 2.
