Following A Joint Assessment Conducted By Whh And Its Partners: Candle Light And Engineers For Mowrd, The Critical Need For Improvement Of Water Access For Communities In The Village Was Highlighted. It Was Determined That Rehabilitation And Upgrading Of An Earth Dam That Was Initially Excavated By The Community. The Capacity Of The Earth Dams Will Be 4050 Cubic Meters For Bilcilwayso, And 3625 Cum For Bilcille And Each Would Effectively Address The Needs Of The Target Beneficiaries. Therefore, The Project Aims To Rehabilitate Two Earth Dams With Its Related In Burao District To Ensure That Targeted Beneficiaries Have Reliable Access To Water, Particularly During Both Rainy And Dry Seasons. Each Earth Dam Is Anticipated To Serve Aroud 200 Households For A Period Of 10 Months, Providing 15 L/C/D (Liters Per Capita Per Day), Assuming Each Household Is Composed Of 6 Individuals.
