Work Detail
Advisory And Consultative Engineering Services – Feasibility Study Of The Frankfurt Tram Extension Between Zuckschwerdtstrasse And Höchst Train Station. Traffiq Is The Local Public Transport Company For The City Of Frankfurt Am Main. Traffiq (Hereinafter Ag) Is Responsible For And Organizes All Public Rail And Bus Transport For The City, Which Is Carried Out On Its Behalf By The Frankfurt Am Main Transport Company (Subway And Tram) And Various Bus Transport Companies. The Focus Of The Work Is On Meeting Customer Needs And Acquiring Customers By Ensuring High-Quality Transport Services. At The Same Time, The Public Transport Offer Should Provide Everyone With A Minimum Level Of Mobility In The Sense Of Public Services. As Part Of The Environmental Network, Public Transport Contributes To The Citys Climate Policy Goals. The Frankfurt Tram Network Currently Consists Of Nine Lines In Regular Service, Which Serve Large Parts Of The Frankfurt City Area And Represent A Backbone Of Frankfurts Local Transport. A Particularly Busy Section Of The Route Is The Tram Route To Höchst. However, The Route Currently Only Leads To The Zuckschwerdtstrasse Stop On The Edge Of Höchsts Old Town. There Is A Gap Of Around One Kilometer To The Central Höchst Transport Hub, The Höchst Train Station. Most Of The Bus Lines In Höchst Stop There, And You Can Also Change To S-Bahn And Regional Train Lines. The Extension Of The Tram To Höchst Was Promised As Part Of The Incorporation Agreement In 1928. In The Past, Several Variants For Closing The Gap Between Zuckschwerdstrasse And Höchster Bahnhof Have Been Examined; Both Variants South And North Of The Railway Line Were Considered. However, A Technically Feasible Preferred Variant Has Not Yet Been Identified. This Is Due, Among Other Things, To The Narrow Street Spaces In The Höchst Old Town As Well As To Other Planning Projects, Such As The Regionaltangente West (Rtw), Which Restrict The Framework Conditions For The Project. With A New Study, The Area Of Investigation Will Now Be Expanded And All Variants Will Be Fundamentally Redeveloped And Examined. As Part Of This Order, A Feasibility Study Is To Be Carried Out. Variants Should First Be Identified And Up To Five Variants Should Be Checked And Evaluated In A Simplified Manner. The Technical Feasibility Should Then Be Examined For Up To Two Preferred Variants And A Traffic Assessment And A Benefit-Cost Analysis Should Be Carried Out. At The Same Time, The Urban Design Aspects Should Also Be Considered. If Necessary, The Contractor Should Be Available As An Expert For Citizen Participation. The Result Should Be A Technically Feasible And Economical Preferred Variant.
