Specialty Design Services – Planning And Implementation Of The New Core Exhibition Of The North Ostrobothnia Museum. The Oulu Museum And Science Center Of The City Of Oulus Cultural And Cultural Services Is Requesting A Bid For The Design And Implementation Of The Core Exhibition To Be Built At The Museum Of North Ostrobothnia In Accordance With This Request For Bids. The Tenderers Task Is The Further Development Of The Concept Proposal, Content Planning Together With The Museums Exhibition Team Based On The Concept, Space Planning, Including Structural Planning For The Exhibition Structures, Visual And Graphic Planning And Implementation Of The Exhibition, Sound Design, Production, Procurement And Implementation Of Equipment, Lighting Design, Participation In The Lighting Competition And Implementation Of The Lighting Plan, And Digital Content Planning, Production, Acquisition And Implementation Of Equipment. The Tenderer Can Use Its Own Subcontractors, However Managing These Sub-Assemblies Itself. The Planning Takes Place In Close Cooperation With The Exhibition Work Group Of The Oulu Museum And Science Center Of North Ostrobothnia Museum. The New Core Exhibition Of The Museum Of North Ostrobothnia, Built On Inclusion And Sustainability, Tells About Oulu People And Oulus Distinctiveness. The Exhibition Brings The Museum Experience Into The 2020S And Brings The History Of Oulu To Life With The Latest Exhibition Design And Technology. The Total Budget For Planning, Implementing And Building The Exhibition Is Around €1,500/M². This Tender Concerns Planning And Implementation And Is Part Of The Overall Budget. The Construction Will Be Tendered In 2025. The Tenderer Will Be Responsible For On-Site Supervision During The Construction Phase Of The Exhibition. The Project Is Financed By The City Of Oulu. The Exhibition Will Be Built Near The Center Of Oulu In The New Museum And Science Center Tiima, Which Will Be Completed In Early May 2026, On The Second Floor Of The New Building. About 888 M² Of Surface Area Is Available. The Space Is A Tall Hall-Like Space (Height Approx. 4.8M). The Exhibition Is Planned By A Multidisciplinary Project Team, Which Consists Of Oulu Museum And Science Center Staff And The Project Manager. A Steering Group Will Also Be Established For The Core Exhibition, Which Will Be Involved In The Content Planning Of The Exhibition. The Contents Of The Exhibition Have Been Jointly Developed In Workshops With Museum Users, Museum Employees, And University Researchers In 2023–2024. The Core Exhibition Is Planned And Built As A Modular One, Which Is Placed In The Exhibition Space On A Phenomenon- And Theme-Based Basis, Following The Core Story. Concept Proposal In Appendix 2.
