Tenders are invited for Purchase and Distribution of Small Livestock and Start-up Veterinary Kits to Selected Cjc Participants in Ngororero District Location: Ngororero Deadline: Friday, 06/09/2024 11:00 Objective The objective of this assignment is to procure and distribute small livestock (goats and pigs) and provide start-up veterinary kits to the identified households. The selected supplier/service provider will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the livestock and veterinary kits and for the timely and efficient distribution of these resources to the participants. Specific Objectives: Improve Livelihoods and Food Security: Provide a sustainable source of income and nutrition by distributing small livestock to vulnerable households, including the elderly, people with disabilities, youth-headed households, teen mothers, and the poorest families. Enhance Resilience to Climate Change: Promote livestock farming as a climate-resilient livelihood option to help vulnerable communities adapt to changing environmental conditions. Empower Marginalized Groups: Enable socially and economically marginalized groups to manage and benefit from livestock farming, fostering self-reliance and dignity. Promote Sustainable Agricultural Practices: Integrate livestock distribution with training on sustainable farming practices, ensuring that beneficiaries can maintain and grow their livestock in an environmentally friendly manner. Facilitate Community Cohesion and Support Networks: Strengthen community ties by encouraging collective management and knowledge sharing among beneficiaries, fostering a support network within the community.
