The Project Involves The Renovation Of The Area Adjacent To The Existing Clean Room As Well As The Space Directly Below Where Support Equipment Is Located.From An Architectural Perspective, There Will Be New Walls Complete With Glazing, New Wall Finishes To Existing Walls, A Raised Access Floor And A New Cleanroom Ceiling Fit Out With New Hepa Filter Units.There Is Selective Demolition Completed On Both Levels As Well As A Limited Amount At The Connecting Point Between The Existing And New Cleanroom.Mechanically There Are Existing Return Air Fans Located In The P1 Level Support Space That Operate To Provide The Required Air Changes To The Existing Cleanroom And Will Service The Renovated Area. The New Ceiling Will Be Fit Out With New Hepa Filters And Distribution Ductwork. There Are Existing Service Connections Clusters Within The Project That Will Be Modified And In Cases Demolished Back To The Mains Where New Isolation Valves Are To Be Installed. There Is A Section Of The Existing Corridor That Will Also Be Modified To Suit The New Perimeter Walls Of The Renovated Space.Electrically There Will Be Demolition Of Some Existing Services As Well As New Distribution. A New Electrical Room Is To Be Constructed Around The Existing Electrical Infrastructure Located In The Southeast Area. There Will Be New Lighting Installed, Fire Alarm Modifications As Well As Data Line Distribution To Several Areas Where Future Lab Equipment Will Be Located.Important To Note, The Existing Cleanroom Will Have To Remain In Operation And The Successful Proponent Will Be Required To Plan All Shutdowns Of Associated Existing Infrastructure In A Manner That Allows For Minimal Disruptions To The Operation Of The Existing Clean Room.See Construction Documents And Rfp For Further Information.
