We are seeking a supplier with the following key aspects: Auditor independence not involved in preparing the inventory or any University of Otago plans to reduce or offset emissions Qualified & experienced in carrying out such verification services - able to assure GHG statements and inventories in accordance with ISO 14064-3:2019 or the Assurance Engagements on Greenhouse Gas Statements (ISAE (NZ) 3410) standard - meet third-party accreditation standards or have been assessed and certified by a professional organisation - Experience with GHG verification, as opposed to just financial audits, is important. Individuals nominated to carry out the work will be required to have proven expertise and experience in GHG verification. Ability to deliver according to our timeframe - The nominated individual and firm will have the ability to provide the 2024 verification by May 2025 and the following years verification by May of the following year. - We are open to the audit process being broken into interim and final audits if this best matches the capacity of the supplier, the readiness of the University, and provides better overall outcomes than one-off annual audits.
