Notice of Information (Advance Notice) (NOI) for Te Papa Biodiversity Research Centre Main Contractor Open Date: Friday, 16 August 2024 9:00 AM (Pacific/Auckland UTC+12:00) Close Date: Thursday, 5 September 2024 5:00 PM (Pacific/Auckland UTC+12:00) Tender Type: Notice of Information (Advance Notice) (NOI) Tender Coverage: Sole Agency Regions: New Zealand Required Pre-qualifications: None Overview: Te Papa Tongarewa (Museum of New Zealand) has commenced the design of a new Biodiversity Research Centre (BRC) on a new brownfield site located on Dante Road, Upper Hutt. The facility will include: - Workplace - Laboratories - Highly serviced hazardous storage with mobile / fixed tanks and mobile shelving - Service yard The design is well advanced with Detailed Design expected to be complete at the end of November 2024, with a Request for Proposal (RFP) expected to be released for tender to main contractors in late January/early February 2025. Construction is expected to commence mid 2025. Te Papa is considering whether to progress with a one stage (RFP only), or two stage (ROI and RFP) for the procurement of a main contractor and would like to hear from main contractors who have the capability, track record and capacity to complete the works. Your response to this NOI will assist with this decision. The following pre-conditions will need to be satisfied for you to be considered for this Project: 1. At least three vertical building completed projects over $70m construction value. 2. At least one of which will include complex building services e.g. laboratories, hospitals etc. 3. At least one of which will be for a public sector entity e.g. Crown Research Institute, Ministry, Local Government. If you cannot satisfy these pre-conditions, any formal ROI and/or RFP proposal will not be considered. Main Contractors who have the capability, track record and capacity to complete the works, and want to be considered for any future procurement process are requested to register for the project in writing to the Project Director, Sam Davis ([email protected]) from Rubix.
