Work Detail
Engineering Design Services – New Building Georg-Von-Neumayer Secondary School Plus, Specialist Planning, Structural Planning. The Georg-Von-Neumayer-Realschule Plus Building In The Böbig District Was Built In 1974. After Preliminary Investigations, It Was Decided To Build A New Building On Another Part Of The Property. The Existing Building Should Continue To Operate During The Construction Phase And Then Be Demolished. The Main Access To The Planned New Building Plus Is From The Northeast. The Break Hall With Cafeteria Is Located Directly At The Foyer And Faces The Playground. A Spacious Green Atrium Ensures Natural Lighting Of The Interior Areas. In Addition To Common Areas Such As The Library And Media Room, The All-Day Area And Specialist Classes Are Also Located On The Ground Floor. The Upper Floors Are Vertically Accessed Via The Central Foyer. The Administration, Learning Clusters 1 And 3 And A Teaching Cafe Are Located On The First Floor. The Classrooms In The Individual Learning Clusters Can Be Connected Via Mobile Partitions. This Creates Multifunctional Learning Zones That Enable Individualized And Small Group-Oriented Learning. Differentiation Rooms As Well As Teachers And Teaching Materials Rooms Are Each Structured Around The Internal Atriums. On The Second Floor There Is Learning Cluster 2 As Well As The Specialist Classes For Art, Computer Science And Natural Sciences. The Planning Principles Described Here Are Based On A Design That Emerged From An Architectural Competition. Construction And Materials The Schools Supporting Structure Is To Be Built Using A Hybrid Construction Method. Foundations, Floor Slabs And Walls In Contact With The Ground Are Conventionally Constructed In Reinforced Concrete, As Are The Load-Bearing Columns/Beams And Bracing Cores. Projecting Escape Balconies Are Suspended Over The Beams Of The Façade In A Thermally Separated Manner. All Ceilings Above The Ground Floor Are Constructed As Wood Composite Ceilings. These Are Thick Wood Elements With A Concrete Composite, Which Rest On Wooden Trusses. The Partition Walls And The Solid Parts Of The Outer Facade Of The Respective Floors Are Also Made From Prefabricated Cross-Laminated Timber Elements. Baffle Ceilings Are Used As Acoustically Effective Ceilings, Which Ensure That The Building Services Systems Can Be Serviced At Any Time. The Vertical Outer Shell Is Designed As A Highly Insulated Wooden Construction (Cross-Laminated Wood Elements) With Vertical Wooden Cladding And Graying Glaze. All Rooms Receive Acoustic Ceilings (Baffle Ceilings), So Parts Of The Ceilings Remain As Storage Mass. In Addition, Pinboards Are Designed To Be Acoustically Effective. The Following Project Goals Are To Be Achieved Within The Scope Of The Service Provision: A. Project Goal Implementation Of Structural Planning - Implementation Of The Draft Object Planning From The Architectural Competition - Economic Implementation - A Possible Implementation As A Wood/Wood Hybrid Construction Should Be Examined B. Project Goal Flexibility The Building Should Also Be Able To Respond To Changes In The Long Term Company Reacts
