The Reason For The “General Renovation And New Construction Of The Schillerschule” Process Is The Communitys Desire To Reorganize And Replan The Entire Schillerschule School Grounds. This Includes Renovation And Conversion Of Existing Buildings, A New Building And The Connection Of Existing Parts Of The Building To One Another. In Addition To Relocating School Operations To The New Building, Other Uses Such As The Construction Of A School Cafeteria Are Planned To Ensure Future-Proof School Operations. This Is Also Against The Background Of The Legal Right To All-Day Care, Including In Primary Schools. Therefore, The Apple Trees Previous After-School Rooms Are Also Part Of The Measure. The Competition Area Is Part Of The “Ortsmitte Iii” Redevelopment Area, Which Has Been Formally Defined Since 2015 (See Appendix For The Definition Of The Redevelopment Area), With Which The Municipality Is Further Driving Forward The Urban Renewal And Development Of The Town Center. Urban Development Funding Has Already Been Used On The School Grounds. Additional Parking Spaces Are Planned For The Construction Of New Parking Spaces, Which Are To Be Integrated Into The New Building As An Underground Car Park. By Combining Many Uses For The General Public In The Area, The Schillerschule Serves As A Cultural Center For The Community Of Nußloch. In Order To Create An Attractive And Lively Place, It Is Important To Enhance The Schiller Schools Environment And Create An Ensemble That Creates Identity. Planning Objectives The Municipality Expects The Contributions To The Planning Competition To Provide Contemporary, Innovative And Feasible Solution Proposals For The Planning Task At Hand. The Following Objectives Are To Be Specified In The Context Of The Competition: - Adaptation To The Requirements Of A School And Reorganization Of The Competition Area As Well As Multifunctionality, Especially With Regard To The Multiple Use Of The Festival Hall And The Transition Area Between The Festival Hall And The School Area (Toilets, Cafeteria, Kitchen ) By School And Clubs (Sports And Training Operations As Well As Festive Events) - Spatial, Design And Functional Conception Of The School Grounds Including The New Building, The Connecting Building And The Festival Hall - Development Of An Architecturally Appealing Solution For The Building Project, With Handling Of The Existing Building - Sustainable, Climate-Sensitive And Resource-Saving Implementation Of The Development And Open Space Design, Also With Regard To Ongoing Maintenance - Development Of A Functional Overall Concept For Construction During Ongoing Operations
