The Tendered Project Is Part Of The Community Driven Rural Development (Cdrd) Project In South Sudan, Which Is Financed By Bmz, Co-Financed By Dgis And Implemented By Giz. The Objective Of The Cdrd Project Is To Improve Implementation Of Community-Driven, Income-Generating, And Risk-Informed Rural Development Measures. Target Group Of The Support Measures Is The Rural Population In Magwi (Eastern Equatoria State) And Yei (Central Equatoria State) Counties (23 Bomas) And In Particular Small-Scale Food Producers (Ssfp), Agro-Based Msmes, Agricultural Cooperatives And Vulnerable Groups (Women, Young People, Returnees And Idps). On The Basis Of The Provisions Of The German Government Concerning Technical And Financial Cooperation With South Sudan, The Project Has No Political Executing Agency And Is Generally Implementing Remote From The National Government. Partner Organisations At Regional Level Are The Magwi And Yei County Administrations As Well As The Devolved Line Agencies Of Eastern And Central Equatoria State Ministries. These Include The Directorates Of Agriculture, Cooperatives And Rural Development, Forestry And Vocational Education And Training. Key Output Of The Cdrd Project Are: 1. Strengthening Participatory Planning And Implementation Capacities Of Subnational Administrative And Civil Society Actors For Socio-Economic Community Development; 2. Improving Demand-Driven Supply Of Inputs, Services And Markets For Local Actors Of Agricultural Vc; 3. Strengthening Planning And Implementation Capacities Of Subnational Administrative And Civil Society Actors On Comprehensive Drm; 4. Make Available Strategic Learning Experiences On Risk-Informed, Socio-Economic Development Of Rural Communities At State Level. The Contractor Is Responsible For Implementation Of Output 2: Improving Demand-Driven Supply Of Inputs, Services And Markets For Local Actors Of Agricultural Value Chains. The Contractor Is In Particular In Charge Of: - Elaboration Of Value Chain/ Agricultural Commodity Analysis Of Up To 5 Agricultural Commodities. - Strengthening Msmes Which Offer Input And Services To Smallholder Farmers, And Implementation Of Training For Farmers Who Are Involved In The Selected Value Chains In Agronomic Practises Which Increase Productivity And Quality Of The Respective Agricultural Value Chain. - Market Facilitation, Strengthening Processing Industries And Supporting Local Value Addition. The Contractor Has To Implement Besides Others The Following Activities: - Development Of Capacity Building Programme For Msmes . - Need Based Training And Coaching Of 50 Msmes And Linking Them With At Least 300 Farmer Groups/Associations. - Building Capacities Of 30 Seed Multipliers. - Training Of 6.000 Farmers Of The Selected Value Chains In Technical Skills To Increase Productivity Of Production And Quality Of Products. - Awareness Raising For Marketing And Strengthening Marketing Skills Of 300 Farmers Groups/ Associations.
