Tenders Are Invited For Roadside Vegetation Marker Installation

Penrith City Council’S City Presentation Department Are Seeking Quotations From Suitable Contractors With Environmental Knowledge And Experience And Whom Have The Ability To Identify Local Threatened Flora Species And Vegetation Types. The Works Include The Installation Of Roadside Vegetation Markers Along Designated Roads And Locations Throughout The Penrith Lga Where High Conservation Value Vegetation Has Been Identified. The Installation Of Roadside Markers Is The Final Component To Council’S Adopted Roadside Vegetation Management Plan (Rvmp) And The Markers Will Be Used As A Visual Tool To Indicate To Staff, Contractors And The Community Where High Conservation Value Vegetation Is Located Along Road Side Verges.Council’S Ref Officer Has Undertaken Thorough Ground Truthing Assessments In Addition To The Rvmp And Will Provide The Contractor With Both Mapped And Gps Locations Of Where The Markers Are To Be Installed. The Roll Out Of The Roadside Markers Throughout The Lga Is An On Going Project And Council Will Engage The Selected Contractor From Time To Time To Install A Portion Of The Markers Once The Assessments Have Been Completed. The Markers Will Not All Be Installed In One Roll Out. The Contractor Will Also Be Given Access To Council’S Field Service Application Where They Will Be Required To Enter Data And Take Photos For Each Marker Installed. This Will Be Installed On The Contractors Own Devices.Council Have Purchased The Roadside Markers And A Manual Installer For The Contractor To Keep With Them During Periods Where Installation Is Taking Place. The Manual Installer Is To Be Returned To Council’S Nursery Sub Depot When Not In Use. The Roadside Markers Will Also Be Stored At The Nursery Sub Depot For Collection When Required By The Contractor.In Addition To The Marker Installation, Council May Engage The Contractor To Undertake Audits From Time To Time To Monitor Whether The Markers Are Still Present, Their Condition And Compliance Around Vegetation Impacts Like Removal And/Or Mowing And Possible Letterbox Drops. No Direct Liaising Or Consultation With The Community Or Residents Is A Requirement Of This Contract.
