Work Detail
The Subject Of The Order Includes The Renovation Of The Marchian Gate In Łagów. The Subject Of Construction Works Is The 16Th Century Marchian Gate, Called The Brandemburg Gate, Which Is An Element Of The City Fortifications In Łagów, Ul. T. Kościuszki 10, Plots 122/3, 122/2, 122/5. Category Iv Facility. The Aim Of The Study Is To Stop The Degradation Of The Preserved Half-Timbered Structure And Plaster Coatings. The Renovation Works Are Planned To Include: A) Cleaning And Repairing Gutters And Downpipes, B) Filling In Plaster Defects In The Plinth Part, C) Removing And Replacing External Plasters In The Lower Parts Of The Wall, Removing The Effects Of Moisture In These Places, D) Painting Plasters External, E) Repair Of Damaged Wooden Elements Of The Half-Timbered Structure. The Marchijska Gate Is Located In The Western Part Of The Medieval Layout, In The Area Outside The Castle, Above T. Kościuszki Street. It Is A Building Made Of Brick And Partly Of Stone On The Ground Floor, The Second Floor Is Made Of Half-Timbered Construction. It Was Built On A Rectangular Plan, With A Compact, Two-Story Structure, With An Attic, No Basement, And Covered With A Hipped Roof With Lids Covered With Ceramic Tiles. At The Level Of The First Floor - Ground Floor, In The Northern Part There Is A Gate Passage, And In The Southern Part There Is A Narrower And Lower Pedestrian Crossing. The Holes Are Closed Semicircularly. The Passage Is Covered With A Wooden Ceiling, The Passage - With A Barrel Vault. The Facades Are Plastered, With A Visible Drawing Of The Half-Timbered Structure At The Level Of The Second Floor. Rectangular Windows Are Located On The Eastern And Western Facades. A) Gutters And Downpipes Are In Good Condition, They Require Cleaning And Minor Repairs Such As Straightening, Soldering, Inserting Missing Elbows, Attaching Hooks And Clamps, B) Filling In Plaster Defects In The Plinth Part In The Eastern Façade, Where A Brick Wall Is Currently Visible With Previously Removed Plaster Resulting From A Previous Repair Of The Wall. Fill In Any Plaster Defects On The Remaining Facades. Replacement Of Plasters Should Be Done With A Traditional Lime-Sand Mortar With A Small Addition, And Use Trass Lime. It Is Allowed To Use Ready-Made Mortars. C) Removing And Replacing External Plasters In The Lower Parts Of The Wall, Removing The Effects Of Moisture In These Places - Degraded, Wet Plasters With Green Lichen Coating Up To A Height Of 1.00 M. Plasters Up To A Height Of 1.00 M From The Ground Level, The Gate Passage And Pedestrian Crossing Should Be Cut Into The Ground Floor Part. After Removing The Plasters And Cleaning The Substrate, Disinfect With A Biocidal Preparation And Then Apply Two Layers Of Wide-Pore Renovation Plaster Based On Trass, Lime And Frost-Resistant Sand, Intended For Damp, Salty Walls, Used Outside The Building.
