Proposed Contract Award Notice Is Hereby Given By Bc Hydro And Power Authority Of Its Intent To Direct Award A Contract To General Electric And Pti Transformers Lp To Supply The Above-Noted Bc Hydro Requirements. The Contracts Are Expected To Secure Approximately Sixty-Five (65) To Eighty-Five (85) Units As Required, Over A Five (5) Year Term. Justification Bc Hydro Has Not Called For Supplier Proposals For This Contract. After Careful Research And Consideration Through Rfi 2036 Supply Of Network Transformers And Associated Accessories, It Is Believed That The Suppliers Identified Above Are The Only Suppliers Capable Of Meeting The Specific Requirements Of This Engagement Based On Their Explosion Resistant Design And Manufacture Experience, Within The Required Timeframe Based On Capacity And Lead Time Availability. Proceeding With An Rfp Would Not Be Advantageous For Bc Hydro Or The Supplier Community As, Based On Our Information, Only The Above Noted Suppliers Are Capable Of Providing Transformers That Align With Bc Hydro Requirements Specifically Related To Explosion Resistant Tank Designs And Contemplated Physical Dimensions.
