Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora - Canterbury is seeking to replace the existing energy source for space heating and domestic hot water (DHW) heating at Greymouth Hospital from coal to electricity. Currently, Greymouth Hospital has two coal boilers for space heating and domestic hot water heating. We are seeking competent contractors to design and install a favourable long-term solution for the Greymouth Hospital heating upgrade, including: installing heat pumps outside of the Te Nikau building for DHW, providing space heating and domestic hot water heating, and leaving the existing diesel boiler as redundancy. Contractors will be working within a live hospital environment and will need robust methodologies and programmes to effectively manage the requirements and constraints that this creates. The anticipated dates are: Main Works Start | November 2024 Main Works Completion | May 2025 SITE VISIT Suppliers must attend a site visit. The site visit will take place on 29 July 2024 at 11:00am at Greymouth Hospital, 71 Water Walk Road, Greymouth 7805.
