The existing SH29 Omanawa Bridge is part of the Tauriko West Road of National Significance (RoNS) project and is near the end of its economic life. NZTA is procuring a designer to develop the design from the preferred option to construction tender document, through an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) process, for a new bridge and state highway to be designed 6 months after design contract award, allowing contractors to commence work on site before 01 October 2025, and complete construction before June 2027. The SH29 Omanawa Bridge Replacement comprise: - Detailed design for a new 2-lane SH29 alignment and new 2-lane bridge (that can be widened to 4 lanes in the future) - Use of Early Contractor Involvement during the design phase for design input and constructability review - Preparation of the construction tender document at the end of the detailed design phase We are seeking Respondents to demonstrate they possess high-quality Relevant Experience, Track Record and Relevant Skills they can bring to the project. The Responses will be evaluated based on those attributes. Once the results are announced, the 4 highest scoring Respondents will be invited to submit a Proposal with detailed Methodology and Price.
