Railway Construction Works – Design And Execution Of Works Related To The Investment Objective Electrification And Rehabilitation Of The Railway Line Constanța - Mangalia. The Electrification And Rehabilitation Of The Constanța - Mangalia Railway Line Project Is Part Of The General Transport Master Plan Of Romania (Mpgt) And Is Proposed For Financing In The Period 2021 - 2030, According To Annex 10.35 - Sources Of Financing For The Railway Structure 2020 - 2030. The Constanţa - Mangalia Railway Line Is An Important Line Of The Railway Network In Romania For Passenger And Freight Traffic, As It Serves The Southern Tourist Area Of The Black Sea Coast And Economic Agents Located On The Platform Of The Ports Of Constanţa And Mangalia. . The Electrification, Doubling And Rehabilitation Of The Line Will Ensure The Access Of Long-Distance Trains To The Stations On The Romanian Coast Without Transferring Passengers Or Changing The Means Of Towing, Which Will Allow Passenger Traffic To Be Taken Over From The Road Sector Both To Decongest The Area And To Reduce The Number Of Accidents . The Main Objective Of The Works Is To Increase The Attractiveness / Competitiveness Of Rail Transport By Improving The Quality Of Services While Improving Operational Safety. Line C.F. Constanța - Mangalia Is Part Of Highway 800 Bucharest - Constanța - Mangalia, It Is 42.9 Km Long (Measured Between Constanța Station Axis - Mangalia Station Axis) And Serves The Tourist Resorts In The Southern Part Of The Romanian Coast As Well As Constanța Port And Port Mangalia. The Project Aims To Electrify And Rehabilitate The Constanța - Mangalia Railway Line, In Order To Ensure A High Degree Of Railway Traffic Safety, With The Following Expected Results And Effects With An Impact On Increasing The Attractiveness Of Rail Transport For Passengers: - Reduction Of Time Of Travel By Increasing The Speed Of Traffic On The Entire Section And Eliminating The Need To Change The Locomotive In Constanța Station; – Reduction Of Greenhouse Gas Emissions And Negative Impact On The Environment; Increasing Safety And Reducing The Number Of Accidents; – Increasing The Number Of Passenger Trains That Can Be Entered In The Traffic Schedule (By Increasing The Traffic Capacity) And The Number Of Passengers Between The Cities Of Constanța And Mangalia; – Increase In Transit Freight Traffic, By Introducing Electric Traction; – Reducing Energy Consumption; – Increasing The Level Of Comfort In Passenger Transport And Increasing The Quality Of Transport Services; – Modernization Of The Facilities Offered In The Main Stations; - Cadenced Walking Schedule, Operated By High-Performance Rolling Stock.
