Tenders are invited for Programmatic elements focused on galvanizing young women to Pursue STEM career fields and/or STEM education U.S. Embassy Cairo Public Diplomacy Section PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The U.S. Mission to Egypt is pleased to announce an open grant competition to award projects that support women and encourage their families to sustain their pursuit of STEM education. The U.S. Embassys Public Diplomacy Section invites higher education institutions and NGOs to submit proposals that contain programmatic elements focused on galvanizing young women to pursue STEM career fields and/or STEM education. All programs must include a connection with American expert/s, organization/s, or institution/s in STEM. The objectives of the program are: To encourage Egyptian girls to pursue STEM education. To increase the number of Egyptian women joining STEM related career. To improve the educational and occupational STEM ecosystem to become more appealing for women. To provide tools to families to support their daughters/sisters/mothers/wives pursuit of STEM education. Examples of the kinds of activities that can be funded under Women in STEM Education grant programs include, but are not limited to: STEM workshops that aim to explain the potential impact of coding, video games, or A.I. Intercollegiate STEM competitions that connect the audience with American STEM experts or organizations, with possible opportunities for further professional and educational enrichment in the United States for winners and/or select participants. Academic and professional symposia, seminars, and speaker programs related to STEM education.
